Anybody running 2 piece rotors?
I am looking to do an upgrade on my brakes soon and am seriously contemplating a 2 piece rotor for the front. I am interested in the unsprung weight reduction mostly. I see that DBA makes a set and so does Z1. Does anyone out there have any experience with these brands?

I got the Racing Brake 2 piece rotors on both front and rear. 6 trackdays on them so far, plus about 3,000 street miles on them with no problems.

I've run DBAs and Z1's. The Z1's are really light and you do feel it if you're heavy footed.
Get the Z1's, ONLY SLOTTED, call up, talk to John@Z1, tell him "Andrew the ásshole" sent you

Z1 MotorSport, I am running the 2 piece Akebono front rotors (slotted and drilled). So much quicker in the steering due to the weight loss on the new rotors. Still waiting for Z1 to finish testing the two piece rears. Happy with the fronts.
Oh....and if you call Z1 ask for Rob and tell him Curtis the prick referred ya....lol Last edited by ZForce; 02-18-2014 at 06:10 PM. |
