Which coilovers? Bc/powertrix/fortune auto/stance
Hey guys, I've been looking into coils for awhile now and just can't make up my mind. So Id love some Input/personal reviews/opinions on the above brands. I'm looking for a good quality ride for dd and occasional weekend warrior session. I'm only looking to drop it about an inch or so nothing crazy but still want the option to go lower if I want which is why I'm not just buying a set of springs. Currently looking at the powertrix ss with swift upgrade, but also considering the fortune auto 500 w/swifts. Thoughts? Thank you guys. Btw I know NOTHING about coils this is going to be my first time purchasing a set.

I'm currently on BC -BR type coils, don't really have nothing bad to say about them and customer service is great. They ride great as well and I'm on about a 2" drop (with room for more). I haven't dealt with any of the others mentions so can't really compare but have heard good things about Stance. What's really going to effect drive type is Spring Rates and valving.
Found this about fortune auto: Fortune Auto True Coilovers, Experiences/Opinions? Powertrix: POWERTRIX Coilovers - 3 weeks driven.. Last edited by XPNSD IT; 11-25-2013 at 05:41 PM. |

Out of this group I would probably go Stance.. However if it is simply for looks and performance is not a big concern for you I would look into some springs.. would keep a lot of money in your pocket unless you are certain you want to drop the car more down the road, just my

I also bought coilovers for looks and I'm very happy with my stance coilovers and you can get them in a true type coil so that's also cool. Fortune auto also looks legit !

I think I'm going BC ER with custom valving/swift springs. JWC is to much and I don't like a failure I saw on a used Stance.

For what you plan to do, you'll never go wrong with what you have listed for consideration. I chose Powertrix with Swifts. Part of it was Charles Park the owner. You'll know why when you spend time with him. Very down to earth and totally hands on.
Here's my feedback on powertrix if you have not read it. The very few and far between Powertrix coilover review -- picture heavy

I am a new user of BC coils from switching out my swifts. I have no complaints, car sits perfectly. I may adjust the dampening for a little bit softer front end(currently at 15). Might go between 5 and 7.
It changed my drop in the front -.5" and the rear about -.75". That was my only complaint about the swifts(rear wheel gap). Speed bumps are the Devil. Tapped my FI exhaust a few times today leaving my buddies apartment complex which has mega speed bumps.

I just had Fortune Auto 500s w/ Swift Springs installed (11k F/8k R rates).
Gonna roll around for a week or so and let them settle in before adjusting the dampening. Right now its set to "medium" 12. (24 settings)

Highly recommend the BC's > all the other options. Stance is by far the harshest ride out of all of them, the only "good" thing about them is they are a "true coilover" setup(spring/strut in one), which really is all about your preference.
