Adjust rear dampening from trunk?

Can you adjust the dampening from inside the trunk by taking off those plastic pieces? Or do you have to take out the strut ever time?

Stock shocks are non-adjustable. If you have aftermarket shocks, some do some don't have the adjustment there.
