Is it worth or recommended to get an alignment between sets of tires on our Z's? For exmple, lets say the life of my stock 2013 tires from new will

For exmple, lets say the life of my stock 2013 tires from new will be 20k miles, and i get an alignment at 10k miles, will this extend the life of my tires so i can squeeze a few more miles out of them? I searched but couldnt find a lot of info specific for the Z. Thanks in advance.
