Default Alignment question

Is it worth or recommended to get an alignment between sets of tires on our Z's? For exmple, lets say the life of my stock 2013 tires from new will be 20k miles, and i get an alignment at 10k miles, will this extend the life of my tires so i can squeeze a few more miles out of them? I searched but couldnt find a lot of info specific for the Z. Thanks in advance.

I align my car once a month, then again I do it myself for free. The answer is yes. IMO the general populous overlook the importance of proper wheel alignment, even more so on a sports car.

Tire pressures are crucial as well as allignment. I got my tires dialed in. Fronts are at 36, 000 and am on the 2nd set of rears on the reo760 at 23, 000.

Thanks to both! And yes, i check tire pressure at least twice a month, although i could do better by checking them weekly

Twice is eddecient. If you run full psi on the rear it will cause center tire wear. Atleast that was the experience I have had.

Keep an eye on your tire pressures weekly and an alignment every 6 months is more than enough on a street car without crazy suspension mods.

We've had cars that come in once a year with the same suspension settings they left with 15,000 miles prior.
