Default Looking for a good deal on rotors

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has spotted some good deals on rotors with brake pads and fluids. I don't know much about rotors, but I do know I would prefer slotted and for them to be lighter than stock. The application they will be used for is dragstrip on the weekends and daily driving. I have found a couple deals on some sets and wanted to know if you found a better deal and your opinions on the ones I have found.

Only the DBAs you posted are lighter on the front

And Joe has a deal on the DBA 5000's right now, amazing deal

The Z1 rotors when you add in the light weight 2 piece they posted they save 10lbs. Not sure if it is 10lbs each b/c of the wording

"Tipping the scales at a scant 20 lbs. each, that's a savings of 10 lbs. versus the stock 30lb each for 370Z sport rotors."

10 lbs each side, 20lbs total. These and rears will prob be my next mod. I shaved 7lbs off each corner with my wheel & tire upgrades and felt an immediate improvement in acceleration and braking. Another 20 lbs off the front (and hopefully similar off the back) will probably have this car handling like a go-cart

You do not "need" upgraded rotors unless you are doing lapping days at a track... not 1/4 mile.

That being said, should you feel like spending $550... talk to Joe @ Zspeed, i bought my rotors from him

I found dba 5000 two piece rotors, slotted and drilled, for something like $250 each, which was a fabulous price, with Hawk ceramic pads provided vastly improved brake feel over standard oem. a very worthwhile upgrade over oem kit.

What did you finally do? I was kind of interested in the ZSpeed kit.

Yes, but how are DBA 2-piece rotors "worse" than Z1 ones?

fortunately rotor/wheel/tire lightweight mods have a quite noticable difference in braking distance and handling. even a few lbs difference is quite noticeable.
