Labor estimate opinion brakes
What's your opinion on 400$ on the labor for all four corners. Pads, rotors and fluid flush (bleed brakes). I'm supplying the rotors and pads. This is a quote from Nissan. Please comment on price, not whether I should do the work on my own.

If it's from Nissan then it sounds about right. The fluid isn't cheap and either is their shop rate.

if you have tools it would be soo much cheaper for you to buy a motive brake bleader and just d.i.y. normally shop labor is about 110 an hr. so it sounds like a good price. what setup did you go with?

Get GTR fluid if you're going to do it at the dealer... Personally, I wouldn't go to the dealer for this install, I'm sure a local shop can do it for less and do the same quality job if not better

what i meant was pads and rotors. Im thinkin when I do go to replace my pads that im goin to do the rotors too. But I am thinking of buyin the kit from z1motorsports.com. They have a pad/rotor/ss line kit for 578. Im just not sure what pads I would want to get. Last time around I had warped rotors from baer using ceramic pads, and I broke the rotors in as manufacturer specs called for.

price sounds right for the work. granted diy'ers say its just simple bolt on work... but time is the issue. sometimes its just worth it to pay a fair price and let someone else deal with the mess and sweat
i'd check to see if a local speed shop can do it though. i'm not too conifdent with many dealership techs. just my personal .02 ... i'm sure there are a bunch of great techs working at dealerships, but the sad case is, most aren't or just don't give too much attention to specialized cars like ours.
