Could be any of those and/or steering rack bushings.

Strut mount bearings will make this noise as the wear out. Open hood and put left hand on left strut mount and you should be able to reach steering wheel with right hand. Move the steering wheel left and right or have assistant do it as you moniter for noise at the strut mount be feel or ear. Hope that helps.

Hi, My 09 is doing the same thing. Only after driven 5-10 minutes and it seems when the wheels are to the left of center it'll creak or pop. Did you ever determine what it was with yours?

After going for a drive I had my wife turn the wheel while I tried to hear where the sound was coming from. It seemed to be equally loud from both sides of the car by the wheel well. I'm thinking the steering rack is gone but I don't know what components are in there that would cause the sound if worn. I would think there would be some bushings that the rack would follow through but I haven't been able to find a breakdown of the rack itself. Anyone come across this popping noise and found the steering rack was at fault?

Plus it only makes this sound when the wheels are on the ground with the weight of the car. When jacked up the noise is not present.
