Hey community I am looking for feedback from people who either switched from the OEM 2015+ Nismo suspension to KW V3s or people who have experience with both. I wasn't able to find any threads on this, mainly people from 2014 and prior Nismo owners. I know there were revisions made by Nissan for 2015+ to make the ride more livable for daily driving. I wanted to know if the ride harshness is improved for daily driving vs the 2015 OEM setup while providing better cornering ability

The kw use a progressive spring and while I have not used them on the z I have driven other bmw with them and other cars in general with progressive springs and all no matter the vehicle have had the same initial roll into the turn. I suspect that may be what he was referring to vs the stock linear springs. In the end I’ve found I’m just not a progressive spring guy for cars, the turn in response and initial lean just isn’t there.

Progressive springs makes it harder to set up the suspension. Because as the compresses. It gets stiffer. You either have to set up the dampening for the beginning of travel or the end of travel. To set it up for the middle is a crap shoot.

i had v3's before my mcs. the reason i got rid of them was because they were too comfortable. So yes, they are definitely more comfortable than stock and for sure will improve cornering ability 10x

there's no reason why Fortune Auto's can't get whatever ride height you want
and I was very satisfied with their 500 series on my IS300 Others have reported positive experience with them Local rebuild (Virginia, i believe) Custom spec available Reasonable price (under $2K unless you start slapping on options)

UPDATE:
Boy did you ask at the right time. Fortune Auto is actually doing their annual Thanksgiving clearance on "scratch and dent" coilovers with minor levels of imperfection https://www.shop-fortune-auto.com/co...ns/blackfriday https://fortune-auto.com/wp-content/...st-Final-2.pdf The Z34 true type is listed as available for around $1000, which is an absurd discount Hell, when I got my IS300 coilovers, they actually sold out and gave me a new set at the discount price I'd definitely get Fortunes ESPECIALLY at that cost over KWs
