Alignment after changing new wheels?
Hi guys, im gonna buy a new set of wheels, but im not sure if we need to do wheels alignment after having the new set on?
The place where I buy the wheels will include tires on it ( online), and it is ready to put in. I am afraid the guy in the alignment shop will scratch my wheels tho...lolz |

How bad are your old tires/wheels worn?
If not terribly worn, get alignment done with those before you install new ones. Also they do have touchless alignment racks now, uncertain what your shop offers. Be sure & have them start at the rear & work forward, if he’s never done a 370....go somewhere else

Put them on without alignment; you’ll be fine if you’re currently driving well,etc...

20K miles and still looking good? What does that mean in terms of tread depth? I can't get more than 10K miles from a set of rear tires. I get an alignment every time and they are always at least a bit out of alignment by then.
What size are your new wheels? An alignment is always recommended when changing wheels or tires. Of course, you don't have to. But the trade-off of saving money by not getting an alignment is possible uneven tire wear that may require tire replacement sooner than if you had gotten an alignment. Your choice...

Mine is base 18’ , so the new wheels will be 19*9,5 + 40 front; 19*10,5 +25 rear. The only reason I dont want to do the alignment because im afraid they will scratch my new wheels... I bought the new wheels ( Ferrada FR4 Silver) from fitment industry.com , with tires package, so it is free mount and balance. May be I should do the alignment to prevent uneven tires wear.. |

Just for clarification: Changing wheels does not affect anything having to do with wheel alignment. The advise given is basically that its a good time to do it, but it will not have changed by just changing the wheels.
