Hi all,
Just finished up installing the Stillen Brake Ducts for my Base 370z. Went on a test drive and heard some consistent and audible squeal coming from the front wheels. When I took the wheels off and inspected the brakes, I could see there was some contact between the Stillen brackets and the inside of my rotors with some material being removed. Has anyone running these ducts experienced this before? Should I attempt to bend the brackets back or will the material wear enough for this to not be an issue? I'm wondering if it's just build-up brake dust based on the color... I'd be interested to hear your thoughts! Thanks a bunch in advance! |

Looks like your shield is bent. Bend it back to clear the rotors and you should be good. Don't let it sit like that - the material is not intended to wear down

Sometime doesn't look right. You should have more clearance then that. Did you install the shield between the bearing and steering knuckle? You have to remove the bearing to install them.

Here's a picture just after re-installation of the bearing. But you are right, I'm surprised there wasn't more clearance from the beginning. It didn't look bent when I received them...
