New Brakes Who Dis?
So I just bought my 370z in December and have been neglecting my truck ol' faithful because I've been falling in love daily driving my 2012 Magnetic Black Pearl 370z
Not to long after I bought my Z who's name is Zakura (Japanese for cherry blossom) I started hearing my brakes go out. I have the akebono brakes on her, and since I'm driving a sports car the thought of my brakes going out while I'm doing a small pull is frightening. So what do I do? Not only replace the pads... But because I go overboard on everything I bought new rotors, better carbon ceramic pads, new stainless steel brake lines, and also motul 600 brake fluid. Spent around 750ish with shipping I still need to macgyver a bleeder bottle setup and have my friend help me bleed the brakes later today but I'm about to start everything so wish me luck I'll post some pictures if I remember to take them but here is everything I got in the mail Sent from my moto g(7) power using Tapatalk Last edited by BildoDabbins; 01-19-2020 at 12:42 PM. |

If you want to stiffen pedal feel, you should consider installing Z1s master cylinder brace.
Good luck with the install.

So trying to remove the caliper with the
19mm box end and I've been smacking it with a hammer.... The top one came out with a few taps but I was able to fit the 1/2" ratchet in there and smack it with my hand but the bottom one is so damn stubborn just bought some wd40 and sprayed them down so I can hopefully break them free I got 2 bolts in and I'm at a dead end currently if I can't get these off lol hopefully this wd40 helps me crack them loose wish me luck Sent from my moto g(7) power using Tapatalk |

I got powerstop ones from Rock Auto
I finally got the passenger rear on but I'm having issues putting the clip back where it was but all in all I got the brake rotors and pads on hopefully I can get the rest of the lines on and the front rotors and pads done when I have time off work in the next few days. But everything looks super nice Sent from my moto g(7) power using Tapatalk |

Where the brake line goes through the bracket. The hole is hexed shaped. You may have to twist the hose around to get it to go through the hole correctly. Once in position. Take a small hammer and tap the spring clip into place.

I tried using the same method on the driver side I ended up slightly flattening the clip so it went in easier everything is still snug and I have to pull it out with a needle nose again but it was so much easier to get in when I flattened it with the hammer just a bit Tell me what you think Sent from my moto g(7) power using Tapatalk |

Wussy. They're not heavy at all. The brakes on my 3/4 ton truck are heavy.
