Hidden Airlift Setup
I can't recall who posted this, but after seeing this setup I assumed it'd be fair easy to replicate. Unfortunately, there's a huge piece of oem hardware in the same space to the far right that prevent the tank from lying flat. Anyone have a clue what it is and how to relocate it?

Nope, should've snapped a pic but took the car straight to another shop for more work after the install. I'll grab one when I get it back later this week. The shop removed the foam where the tank was meant to go it but underneath it was the part I described. I didn't get a real good look at it, just recall a lot of wires. Beginning to wonder if it was something the previous owner left

Here's a couple of pics of my 2011 hatch. Not exactly sure what you're referring to. Maybe you can point it out?

Oh **** me. Mystery solved, thanks for the pics! I assumed the whole trunk was one continuous cavity. It looks like the frontmost portion that the foam covers is separate from the cavity the spare is in. Idk why my installer didn't think to put it behind the spare

Oh, yeah. That area under the cross bar will have a computer in it if you have the bluetooth option, on the passenger side. You can see the bolts for where it'd be in his picture poking up from the floor. It's oddly large.
Then in the very center is one receiver for (I think) keyless entry, which you can see in that pic. It's the black piece bolted to that bump in the floor. |
