Default Knocking sound coming from upper rear.

I had knocking in the front and rear suspension. The previous owner had it slammed and I took it back to stock Nismo suspension. I replaced the front end links and that cured the front. I just today, replaced the rear end links and it did not cure the knocking. It sounds like it's coming from the top. Any little bump causes knocking. Any thoughts?

I would check rear sway bar bushing. But if it was slammed then it can be couple parts that could fail or even something loose not fully tightened.

If it happens when you take off or change gears, you may need to grease your splines under your rear axel nuts....also threads on this site.

Just sounds like the top is knocking, just under the plastic cover in the back.

Talking

Check the bushings on top of the shock.

Jack the rear up using jack stands. Then put the jack under the spring bucket on the control arm. Jack that up to take pressure off of the shock. If the top bushing is bad. You should feel movement when you move the shock with your hand.

I replaced the top bushing. It stopped the knocking. I was able to move the old bushing within the metal casing with my finger. I could feel grit in there as well.
