Default 4 wheel alignment - Castor Angle

Took my 3 week old 2018 370 Nismo back to my local Nissan HPC due to tramlining. Here is the report after adjustment

Technician informed me that they couldn’t adjust the Castor angle without ordering shims etc

Anyone else had this problem?

Front camber and caster is non-adjustable from the factory, you'll need a "front upper camber arms" or similar item. A lot of people, including myself, go with the SPL variant. Cheaper options would be SPC, Z1, Kinetix, etc

Edit: It looks like your tram lining could've been due to the difference in toe up front, which they have fixed

Thanks

However shouldn’t the Car have left the factory with castor angle being within specification?

Unless Nissan Japan have changed the Caster Angle of the 2018 Nismo without telling the rest of the world....lol

I'm too interested in what my alignment is. They will check when I take in for first oil change. have had no issues and my Nismo corners like a mother f'r. Ref: 3 months old, 2017, 3600 miles on clock.

It is normal for our cars to have some Tramlining on roads with deep ruts in the asphalt. Just part of having wide tires on the front.

Possibly, however my 2017 BMW M4 comp pack and Porsche 911 turbo don’t tramline as badly as the Nismo.

It happens due to shipping. They come with Spring spacers from Japan so they can get the car on and off the car haulers. See the sticky at the top of the Nismo page. I hope they check for the spacers before they aligned the car. They probably don't even know about them. (Alignment shop)
