Skipping or hopping over bumps

There is this bump, in a turn, on the express way, that when I go over it at speed
( 70- 75 mph. ) the car seems to skip or hop over sending me over to the side of the lane. Any suspension solutions ? Or just the nature of the beast?

I know to avoid it, but when I drive my Maxima for a few days ( doesn't affect the Max.) I forget about it, until I drive me Z!

Maxima = Squooshy suspension.
Z = tighter suspension, bound to "skip" a little more.

It can also make a huge difference as your tires wear. I can tell when my tires are getting close to needing replacement. It skips all over the place.

There is a off ramp that I take at speed. If I'm on the wrong line. I can get squirrelly in a heart beat.

Thanks guy's,
I thought it was the nature of Z being shorter and stiffer than the Max. but had to ask.
Hit it yesterday and and wasn't prepared ... And it surprised me a bit

I get this all the time. Try driving on any highway in Cincinnati lol. They must have paved over concrete or something which has caused huge bumps at consistent intervals. I hit one while going around a corner one day and it sent me into the adjacent lane, pretty scary stuff. Also causes my traction to kick on a lot when accelerating, but that's what you get when you have a sports car with stiff suspension. You just have to try and watch out for it.

The wider front tires have a tendency to follow every nook and cranny in the road, causing a little bit of what you are describing. Don't know the last time you had an alignment, but new tires and an alignment a few years ago really settled the front end down.

It's been a few years, and now that the tires are wearing a little, there is an occasional "oh $hit" while driving...

When I switched to RE11's this went away for me. The old SO4's would do it in a heartbeat. I would look at getting better tires.

Alignment is good, tires are a little better than good w/ about 10,000 mi. on them.
I hate getting new tires, as they pick up every little pebble and twig on the road,but I guess his will probably the last summer on these tires!

Ape Factory

Consider Michelin Pilot Super Sports if you can still find them when it's time to purchase new tires (hopefully on sale). The sidewall is more compliant than Bridgestones. The new version is the Michelin PS4 but I've not personally driven on them yet.

I have several sweeping turns with mid-corner bumps, some of them severe, and the new tires made a pretty big difference in the rear skipping out under cornering loads.
