Steering Clunk

Recently noticed when I move the steering wheel, I hear a clunk/knock sound when. Anyone knows what it could be? I have Z1 front arms for about a year now.

Ball joint or rack bushings would be my guess. Loose bolt on one of those too. Look under the car before driving it again. Make sure the control arm is not coming loose.

Need 2 people. 1 to move the steering wheel, and the other to eyeball parts for movement.

Z1 had a problem with their 1st batch of upper control arms. You might want to contact Z1 about a fix.

Ball joint wear. 100% sure. Think about it, since you are stationary the inner joints aren't being flexed or moved at all. Only moving part is the ball joint itself.

They are $30 replacements on z1.

Do you notice any creaking coming from driver side when going over bumps?

Also do you notice the car unable to travel down the road in a relatively straight line? If the car tends to drift left or right you can bet your bottom dollar it is the ball joint. Replace it ASAP. A failure at highway speeds will kill you and others.
