High Carbon Rotors
Have you guys tried out High Carbon Rotors? (base brakes)
majority of rotors I spot on sale are all cast iron G3000. Whether it's $150 for all 4 or from Zspeed EBC $325 all around seems to be the same G3000 why are these priced so differently when made out of the same material and (slotted design) I did however find G3500 High carbon (Premium) rotors on ebay by brakenetics for $330 [FRONT+REAR] BRAKENETIC PREMIUM GT SLOTTED Brake Disc Rotors BPRSBPRS88639 | eBay What do you guys think? I'm not a avid ebay buyer for car parts, but I do believe there are good products as long as you know the product being sold and authenticity. can't seem to find any other seller that can beat this price with high carbon material. |

eBay brakes from a brand I've never heard of would scare the hell out of me.

Go for it. Honestly, unless you're tracking your car, rotors are pretty bullet proof.
I've bought generic ebay brake parts for my other cars, and I've experienced no issues. In fact, I was impressed with the quality of the rotors. |

I'm usually willing to give generic/ebay parts a go for stuff like this because the savings is usually significant... but in this case the Z1 rotor package is only like $25 more.

G3500 is a high carbon rated rotor. More carbon = dissipates heat more, stronger and less squeal. They are often used in higher performance cars. i believe stop tech are high carbon rotors. Just priced higher |

Considering longevity - can you resurface slotted rotors?

and probably not, I think i read that shops won't resurface slotted rotors but I could be wrong, either way high carbon is supposed to be a lot stronger so resurfacing might not even be needed (won't warp) |

So the real question is - do these rotors resist those deposits? Otherwise, not being able to resurface them would be kind of a bummer.
