Play in Spring Perch
Today I was cranking away at installing some Fortune Auto coilovers and ran into an issue with the passenger side rear spring perch. I installed the driver's side rear first and when I undid the perch bolt, I noticed that the rear lower link where the toe bolt goes through resisted when I pulled the perch down to release the spring. The passenger side though fell straight down when I undid the bolt and it looked like the bushing allowed a ton of play front/back and it didn't resist me pulling down on it. I'm guessing that this probably explains a knocking/creaking noise I've been chasing for a few months.
So am I looking at replacing the whole spring perch or does someone sell a bushing kit that I can install at home? Has anyone else run into this issue? Seems weird because it was on an unmodified part of the suspension. |
