Default Sport brake uneven rotor wear

I purchased a used 2012 two weeks ago, 6500 miles. I'm noticing that the surface on the rotor closest to the hub (about 3/4 inch of rotor) is wearing slightly more than the rest. They don't seem to be dragging, and also seem to stop fine. I typically brake lightly and don't ride them.

Has anyone else experienced this?

You know what- I think you're right. I did harder than usual braking on my way home from work today, and they look even now.

Good tip.

Yeap, stock brake pads will leave pad deposits on the rotor like crazy. I completely hated the factory pads when I had them.
