Powertrix Damping Settings Issues
Hello. I have a few questions regarding the Powertrix coilovers. I had these installed about a month ago and so far, they've been great and nothing short of amazing, but I'm having trouble with the damping settings.
The issue is with the adjustment knobs, as the clicks seem to be off on some of the shocks. Example, I thought I had set all dampers to a 7 level (7 clicks from full soft) but when I dialed them all back to 1 (softest), it took less clicks on some of the shocks and more on others to get back to "1". I then noticed that sometimes the click is barely felt and/or is very short or long, making it difficult to accurately dial them all in to the same number. For now, I decided to set all of them to "softest" which brings me to my next question. Should I leave the dampers at this low setting? What are the pros/cons when it comes to spirited driving and canyon carving If I leave the shocks soft? should I compensate adjusting other suspensions components...like stiffening front sway bars, more neg camber? BTW, The springs are Swift 12k front/11k rear

Mine are a little touchy on feeling the settings too, after a few times adjusting I got the hang of it. Adjust it to where it feels comfortable to you, for me all soft felt too bouncy to me, I started at 6 from soft and drove it for a few days and then started adjusting from there. I ended on 10 from soft on the front and 8 from soft on the rears

oh the track I was 1/2 of 1/2 going towards firm and it was awesome, so planted and never upset the balance of the car even hitting dips mid turn when I ****** up. |

I definitively like a firmer ride... only thing I hate its when I hit slightly raised bumps on the road and the wheels make that horrible thump.

If it's the thump I'm thinking your are talking about then mine did that even oem and seems more dependent on tire, my michelins did it more than my Bridgestone. The thump like the sound a basketball makes type of thump? I think that's just the wide stiff low profiles, funny enough it does it less when I'm lowered and more neg camber (going to the track) then on my daily driver height and camber. Wish it was the other way around but that's physics.

No I'm gonna say that isn't right. Should never have a metal to metal impact noise or feel over bumps, I would look around all suspension components for "witness marks".
