Default question about buying used springs

I'm new to lowering springs, so I really don't know how long they last, etc...

Got a lead on a VERY good price on some used Swift springs, but they have 12k miles on them... Is it a good idea to buy used springs like that? Or should I just go with new? I don't daily drive my car, but I don't want to start off with springs that already worn out...

My opinion is no spring should be even near wearing out it 12k miles so especially not a top shelf spring like swift. I would say your probably fine.

As per Jhill, they shouldn't be anywhere near worn out (I've seen vehicles with 200K+ miles that still had perfectly good springs).

ok, i just wanted to be sure. I know they can make your stock struts wear out quicker, I just didn't know how the springs themselves held up.

Thanks!
