IMHO nothing wrong with the OEM Akebono's for a DD or mildly tracked car.
If you want bling and to drop $7K, go purchase RadiCal fro AP Racing or the equivalent from Alcon, or StopTech shiny-stuff - same for serious track duty/enduro racing My OEM akebono's cope with regular 30-minute track sessions but for ~1 hour events I have AP Racing 6-piston calipers an AP rotors |

For racing, AP Racing Radical seem awesome. For show, ebay has brake caliper covers for reasonable prices. Might even be available at Autozone down the block? I think OP is ludicrous. hey whats the best brake kit with info on budget or intended use terrible hey guys whats the best thing? |

I have to agree what comes on the sport/NISMO are decent brakes. There are a few things you need to do which make them much better. Good fluid and stainless lines are a first step. As for pads, a good aftermarket brand, I use StopTech and there is Hawk, Porterfield and many more. One key thing a lot do not know unless they have run these cars hard on the track is the front rotor will warp at high temps and give you shudder and poorer operation, only to smooth back out when they cool. Going to a 2 piece rotor, vented with aluminum hats eliminates the problem giving you much more solid braking. Another one friend of mine does is stagger the pads, different compounds front and rear. Add all these up and the brakes will give you all you need without spending a fortune.

If you're serious, Rotora has a 12 piston BBK
