Default 09/10 vs 11+ Brakes, WTF is the difference?!

I'm stumped, I searched on here and found nothing, Same with google.

I'm about to do a brake job on my 40th soon and while shopping for rotors I keep seeing that it's compatible with either a 09/10 or a 2011+

WTF is the difference in the brakes between the years?! Will I screw myself ordering some 2011+ rotors (they seem to be way, way more common)

I don't believe there is a difference besides manufacturers 09/10 was akebono and 2011+ is nissan but spec wise I think they are exactly the same.

The brake lines did change. But rotors and pads will fit any year.
