Default Cell phone vent mount

Just curious who has one that works? All I see from searching that proclip thing which i'm not really interested in. Our vents are kind of different with vertical panes in the front and horizontal panes way in the back of the vent so wondering if anyone has found something that works well... Thanks!

step one, open center storage area
step two, toss phone in
step three, ????
step four, profit

as for a vent mount, that would be a bad place since those vent mounts suck and your phone would go flying. just my .02 though.

found this with a search

ProClip 370Z Mount + Droid Holster review

used something like this with my pro clip off my old 350z to modify for my 370z, works perfect

This is mine. Sits to the left of the oil temp, right and above the spedo.
Yes, the cup works on the dash material.
No clips, just a magnet.

i dont see how that's really different than mounting it on the center stack with the proclip?
at least with the proclip, you can buy the power cradle to go with your bracket.

Basically the price difference. I don't drive much so I don't need my phone to charge in the car, but the proclip looks awesome if you need to charge!

Does this thing flops around when you're driving? I'm eriously considering it, my air vents holder blocks all the cold air the AC.

It's not bad, I only use it for Waze navigation and you don't really notice just looking at a map. If you are expecting to read emails and stuff look elsewhere, haha. Small vibrations make text hard to read.

B. Wasn't interested in a proclip type thing.

Thanks anyway though.

I currently have this one. It clips to the vent panels but it isn't very sturdy because our vents are vertical, so they move back and forth. I have to wedge the mount against the windshield wiper lever to keep the darn thing from moving around.
