Alpine MRV-M500 for sub with Bose system
Since this Alpine amp has high level inputs can I tap the blue and violet speaker wires that run to the bose sub amp straight into the speaker level inputs on the amp to add a sub to this system?
Is there any benefit to using a LC2i instead? |

The Lc2 will give you the ability to adjust the input level, that's about all.

Components arrived yesterday. I decided to go with a Pioneer TS-SWX2502 enclosure for an easy install. It fits nicely under the rear cargo cover. Plus, I want to be able to fit my golf clubs in the trunk with the sub. The down firing enclosure works well for this.
So, far I only got as far as running the power line and fuse holder. Not sure where I'm going to put the amp. Probably in the shelf area behind the driver's seat. Is there a good way to install it without drilling holes? Last edited by Silly Rabbit; 06-12-2014 at 09:07 PM. |

I used liquid nails to adhere a small square of 1/2 plywood behind the carpet on the passenger side. Then secured the amp to the plywood, through the carpet. This was a vertical mount, with the wiring on the bottom.

Finished the install. Put the amp behind the driver's seat and use automotive trim double sided tape to mount it. Cheesy, I know, but it works and it can be undone with damage.
I put $350 into the system with sub, amp and wire kit. Plenty of bottom end for me. Way more than the stock system. Tapping into the sub wires into the speaker level input on the amp worked perfectly. |
