The base didnt come with anything bose, its the basic head unit and speakers. I was wondering why the harness is there and see if it has output, perhaps use a meter to check?

My best guess is that it will not work since your base won't have the bose amp...

Although, if all the wiring is in place perhaps you can purchase the bose equipment off another member and hook it all up?

Sometimes it's cheaper for the manufacturer to stock/install the same harness even if parts of it are not used in some models.

A meter will do the trick. If you don't have power for the sub amp or nothing on the signal wires, it won't work. Since you don't have a Bose stereo, I'm betting that you are SOL.

Ninja edit: BTW, the FSM will tell you what you need to know. Look up the wiring for the Bose sub and see if those wires are active in the base system.
Cbtech and Limeybastard like this.
