I've seen YouTube videos of people connecting their iPhones to the gps and it displays the iphone screen. How do I do that with out having to take my gps

How do I display iphone on gps
I've seen YouTube videos of people connecting their iPhones to the gps and it displays the iphone screen. How do I do that with out having to take my gps apart ? Is there a special USB !? All I want is a bigger screen like my cars gps screen to play my iphone games and watch YouTube while I'm in my car bored . And by any chance can I watch movies in my car while driving with out having to take apart my gps and instal a kit or cut wires ?
