2012+ NAV Back up Camera Retro fit?
I have a 2010 Touring w/ Nav 6MT and was wondering if I could retro fit the newer 2012+ Nav back up camera to my Nav system. If so what do I need?
Or is the firmware/hardware on the Nav so different I cannot retro fit the factory one in? I would like to be able to shift to reverse and have the system show the backup camera show up on the Nav screen. |

I have a 2010 touring with navigation and I believe that all 2010 and on have the newer nav system that will accept just adding a camera. I purchased and installed the camera offered by Carkit Company which was very straight forward and then activated the camera option in the nav software and it works like a charm. There are several threads here that addresses adding a camera and also shows you how to access you nav software to see if yours will accept just adding a camera. I'm 99% sure your 2012 will have no problem.
