Default Wiring Bazooka 6250 Sub to stock head unit

I'd like to install two custom Bazooka BTA6250D subs to my stock head unit (which I will eventually upgrade). I haven't been able to find a thread with a write up if there is one. Does anyone know if there are Jacks I can simply plug into the back of the Base Factory unit to get power and sound for the 2013. Or any quick guidance on wiring a bazooka sub to a factory unit. Thanks, and I'll take pics and post them after I've figured it out.

There are no jacks on the back of the stock head unit, only on aftermarket ones. You would need to tap into the left and the right set of speaker wires coming out of the head unit. My recommendation is to wait to you get your head unit so you do not mess with the factory head unit. Also I would go with a kenwood KSC-SW10 or MTX RT8PT these will give you MUCH better quality bass than the bazooka tubes. Just my .02

That's what I was assuming, might have to bite the bullet and add the head unit. Thanks for the great Christmas honey, oh ya, I'm going out to buy a "new" radio for my "new" car...

yeah, you're better off, since you're leaning that way already. I heard one of those bazookas in a guys car recently as well, and it sounded pretty good. Is one of them a slave, or are they both powered?

The bazookas have RCA inputs I believe, if it was me I would buy a Lineout converter and do what this guy did on his Murano.

DIY - Increasing / Improving the output of the OEM Bose Murano Subwoofer - Nissan Murano - Nissan Murano Forums

Basically I would get a lineout converter, use the signal that is already going to the factory bose woofer, convert to RCA and into the bazookas. The signal is already fitlered so you'll be getting only lows from this signal, no mids and highs.

He has the base sound system not bose, and i would highly not recommend what that guy did in the murano.

He certainly could run an loc in the meantime, if he chose to. he would simply have to tap into the speaker wires behind the head unit. As a matter of fact, the Bazooka may have high level inputs as well.
The guy with the murano did an adequate job on his install, and is happy with the results, I dont understand why Matt is busting his chops over it.

He would not need it as most self powered subs have high level inputs. It does the same things as a LOC.

I am not busting his chops, simply put those small woofers bose has are not going to take much more power than what they were getting. So by beefing up the power your cutting the life span down on them. Instead of simply just installing a new sub which will give you even better sound and could very well be easier than tearing an entire assembly apart.

I agree with that statement.

I didn't mean do what he did as in add an aftermarket amplifier to the bose woofer and overpower it.. I meant do what the murano guy did as in tap the signal going to the bose woofer and use that.

But I didn't notice OP has base system so it's obviously not possible to do that.

The bazookas do indeed have high level inputs then just tap into the factory wiring in the rear (you have no speakers in that area but wires should be there).

There are no rear speaker wire the OP would have to run wire up to the back of the head unit.

I think I'm just going to have to start looking for a good deal on a head unit w/ nav, Bluetooth and back-up cam and just do it all. Looks like Kenwood is what a lot of people are using these days, I use to be an Alpine guy 15+ years ago but Kenwood seems to be doing it right. Thanks for the posts
