Default Upper dash space receiver kit

What the f is out there to mount an aftermarket receiver touch screen navi dvd etc in the upper dash space (where oem navi would go)...I wanna put a navi aftermarket unit in but dont want it where stock stereo is..too low...curious of any kits or ideas out there that can replace stock stereo space with something? and be able to mount stereo up top...

You will not get a full head unit to fit in that area.
You best bet is to run a unit below it which can do an external display for navigation if you want or maybe a car PC if you would like. This is what I have done with mine:

Hey dreamer,
Are you using the video out from your headunit? Or can you pm me with what exactly you are running on that? Looks like you have a OBDII hooked up.

The lower portion is a Kenwood DNX6190 I believe, forgot the exact model number, and the upper portion is a combination of a few things:
-Dash piece is the OEM navigation from Nissan
-Screen is some generic LCD screen with RGB input
-HKS Camp 2 plugged into OBDII port to display car read out

Besides that the lower portion had to be modified to fit the head unit slightly, as you can see it sits closer to the A/C controls but still all functions the same.

Hi theDreamer I just wonder which dash board kit did u use for double din HU, I bought an original nav kit for my 09 touring W/O Nav I couldn`t install it, because harness cables didn`t match with my car, so I tried to install just top portion of nav like yours with my original radio unit, but it didn`t match each other like bottom of the nav trim and top of the original bose head unit there is gap between them, because bottom of nav trim is straight, and bose head unit top is like u shaped, so I search online for aftermarket double din trims all of them top part is like original unit`s U shape in the pic yours is straight did you make it custom or bought it? If you made it custom please let me know how thanks.

The U vs Straight is what you will need to modify.
Some have designed cover plates which mold to the U, where we put in the dash piece around the HU and then trimmed that instead.
