Default Wiring harness confusion!!

I have a base model HU I'm replacing with a JVC. Bought from Crutchfield so they sent their wiring harness for the 370Z. Thing is I can't figure out which wires are the steering wheel control, they don't match any of the posts I've seen here. Also the Crutchfield harness has the ground on the outside pin, like the 12V but on the other side. The 370Z harness has no wire here, and apparently the ground is pin 15? I do have a black wire at pin 15, very small though. Looking closer some of the wires on the Crutchfield don't have a mate on the 370Z? I'm assuming everything but remote turn-on should be wired? Here are a couple pics of the 370Z harness, what is what on this thing?

Here is a couple pics with the corresponding Crutchfield wire labeled. This can't be the right harness. Anyone else use a Crutchfield harness?

Does the base stereo use the same wire for both front and rear speakers? I don't remember if it had a fade function. There doesn't seem to be enough wires on teh car's harness otherwise.

cant help you on the steering wheel control harness cause its been a while since i did the install so i forgot...but the base does not have rear speakers, only front.

you can fade the HU to rear and get no sound.

I see. Well that makes some sense then. I just went to a Car Toys to get another harness and it is exactly the same as the Crutchfield one. So I didn't get the wrong harness, just have to figure out why not all the pins match. BTW in one my pics I accidentally labeled all the speakers as Right.

Actually the 12V and speakers are really the only ones that match the Crutchfield harness. WTF

Ok busted out the service manual, here is the factory wiring:

The aftermarket harnesses from both Crutchfield and Car Toys did not match this correctly. I'll have to build my own. Couple questions for you guys.

1) There is no ground wire so I assume it is grounded through the radio chassis to the car chassis via the mounting bracket? So pin 15 (steering switch ground) and pin 8 (Illumination ground) don't go anywhere on an aftermarket radio, they must just be grounded to the car chassis? And the aftermarket radio must also be grounded directly to the car chassis?
2) What about pin 18 (speed sensor), no problem not having it hooked up?
3) AXXESS adapter uses grey/red and grey/blue wires, but attached which way to pins 6 and 16 (steering switch A and B)?
4) where can I pick up this M80 plug and pins?

Think I have it figured out. Called Crutchfield and not all the wires (Illum and Steering controls) will be on the adapter harness. Have to tap directly into the car wiring. Sort of defeats the purpose of buying an adapter harness in the first place but whatever.

All installed and working!! The AXXESS only auto recognized the volume so I had to manually set the Seek and Source but that was pretty easy. Very happy with how the color matches, haven't had a chance to really tweak the shades but here is the initial color setting:

I already like the color and dimmer features better on this JVC than a Kenwood I just bought for my truck. Hopefully it is smarter at displaying mp3's on a USB stick than the Kenwood, I'm still trying to get the filename and folder nesting just right so it is better sorted by that stereo.
