Default Radio is not turning on

Good afternoon, I had been trying to resolve my issue through forums and google before creating this post and quite yet haven't found it over the past few months since it happened.

So my issue is that my radio (2015 Base Sport) and the USB plug-in in the center console are no longer working. It was working perfectly all day, and before, got to school, it was working. After class, I came out to my car, everything started normally, except for the radio and USB. I had turned the car on and off a multitude of times. Eventually did disconnect the battery and reconnect, but yet still nothing. I have also looked at the fuses, which were good. But went ahead and replaced them, still no power.

The radio is not illuminating, and obviously has no audio. And when I had tried to plug in my phone, it never would generate a charge or connection from it.

Any ideas y'all? Don't get me wrong, I love the sound of me car, but when you're idling in traffic and long trips, its nice to have a bit something else!

Use a voltmeter to verify that you have power to the radio. If you have power at the radio, the unit is probably bad and will need to be replaced. Lots of good options - check out the audio section of this site.

If you will check at the connector that plugs into the radio, that will verify that power is/isn't the problem. If you don't have power there, you have an electrical problem. If you have power, then the radio is probably bad.

This thread is confusing. Your avatars look almost the same. You would need to put the multimeter at the power pinouts on the radio wiring harness... then if that checks out good, inspect the power pinouts on the radio harness.

Use a volt meter check ground black wire, red wire (constant voltage, and yellow wire (switched power only on when you have the key on. Than again if you're a newb and don't know about a volt meter you probably need someone to check it over for you. You can trip your air bag light if you don't watch what you do.
