Disable video lock when driving?

Hi, I have the Navigation pack + Bose with dvd and allt the stuff.. Is it possible to disable so the dvd can play even when driving? I tried to

Hi,

I have the Navigation pack + Bose with dvd and allt the stuff..

Is it possible to disable so the dvd can play even when driving?

I tried to search but dident find any threads about it..
But I guess it has been discussed before..or ???

aftermarket you jus ground the brake wire tho fyi

Typically you have to install a bypass that tricks the head unit into thinking the emergency brake is engaged (or with AT you might have to trick it into thinking it's in Park). These are pretty easy to find for aftermarket stereos. But I'm not sure if it's possible or how easy it would be for a stock radio.

IMNSHO, the site's search sucks. I use one of the major search engines and add "site:the370z.com" to my search string.

As far as aftermarket units go, some you can just ground the brake wire (kenwood), but others require a bypass unit (pioneer).

Yeah pioneers are strange. Clarion was the same as well.

IIRC, to get it to work you need a SPDT relay. Connect the remote wire to terminal 85, ground to terminals 86 and 87, then terminal 30 to the parking brake wire.

Might work the same way for the stock system
