Default 2009 W/Navigation, Can't get to the phone set up screen

I've paired my phones several times to it and I thought I was going insane when I couldn't get to the phone screen.

The owners manual tells me to press the phone icon on the steering wheel or "phone" under the nav screen. I do and it says "searching bluetooth device" then "no device found" or something like that and it just goes back to whatever screen was before that (audio).

I've tried disconnecting the battery to reset everything with no luck... anyone know what's going on?

First push the start button onto ACC mode

From the Nav screen

1. Go to settings

2. Phone

3. Go to Bluetooth and make sure to check its ON

4. Pair Phone

5. Add New

Search from the iPhone for Bluetooth devices
Then add the 1234 passkey and your done.

2009 model is only compatible with rotary style phones, there is a jack in glove compartment you can plug it into.
