Default Swapping Bose Sub

Hi,

I have searched a bit but not found a clear answer.

Basically I want to know how hard it is to swap the Subwoofer out to another one without changing wiring etc. Can I simply unplug/take it out and replace with another or is there more to it?

Same questions goes for the amplifier, but I am more interested in the subwoofer.

370z 2010 UK Spec

Cheers

I can't find it anywhere, have looked in the stickys but there's pages of unrelated stuff so would help if someone who knows the answer with detail can elaborate.

In essence can I unplug the bose sub and plug in another one, and if not how bigger job is it?

Cheers

No, you cannot. You would need to get an aftermarket amp to drive the subwoofer, as well as a Line output converter to input signal to the amp.

You can't find anything because you're not a premium member, so there you go, if you scroll down a bit in the diy below there is clarification on adding an after market amp and a sub, that is the best/easiest way.

DIY: Upgrade Component Speakers from BOSE

Thanks guys, a new amp and sub makes more logical sense rather than just one.
