Dumb question,probably...

You're trying to make the stock system do something it wasn't designed to do. Those BT modules are mostly garbage; never seen one work as well as built-in BT. Just

The cheapest one was $199 but with parts and installation, they said it would be $450. If I am never playing FM radio, it's a lot!!!

Depends upon how bad you want it and how long you plan to keep your car. I paid far more than that for my audio install, and I rarely listen to FM--probably less than an hour total since I bought the Z. But I plan to keep my Z quite a while, and I do enjoy having good audio and functional Bluetooth.

Who said that? I would DIY before I paid that much unless they specialize in audio installs. Also, I would never let one of the big box stores work on my Z
