Has anyone used this backup camera?
I got intrigued lately in some of the posts I've seen recently regarding backup cameras. Plus, I'm on a fairly big modding kick lately. I know this issue has been talked about in some depth on this forum (don't worry, yes, I used the370z.com's search function at length), but as a newbie to my 370z, ridiculously big blind spots, and backup cameras, I thought I'd at least ask the crowd for their input.
So far I'm liking the versions that plug into the license plate light since I hate drilling holes when a plug in option is available. But, here are my questions: 1. Is there any real advantage between a CCD or CMOS camera? 2. Has anyone tried this one? For Nissan Geniss Tiida Livina Car CCD Night Vision NTSC Backup Rear View Camera | eBay I'm not a huge fan of the way the four LEDs look when not lit, but this is for functionality, and if it truly helps illuminate the view at night, then I'd consider it. If anyone believes they have the best backup camera in this style out there, links would be appreciated. Thanks, guys (and girls). |

I have this one myself. Bought 2 just in case one died out. When I installed the back-up cam I also replaced the license plate lights to LED. Day-time its great. Night time has some picture noise but i can clearly see whats behind me without worry. Well worth the $15 and OEM look. |

Thanks for the help, guys. Picked up the one you mentioned and will try to plan an install in the next few weeks. I'm going to try to knock out a few projects all at once.
Bluetooth Bypass Speaker output optimization Rear Camera install Dynamat while I have all the panels off Shift Knob switch Should be fun, but probably a good day's worth of wrench work with the car in a more or less undriveable state. |
