So I'm posting this here because I'm investigating my own homebrew solution for fuel starvation. Does anyone have detailed photos of the stock fuel pump assembly? I can pull mine

Does anyone have detailed photos of the stock fuel pump assembly? I can pull mine and look at it of course, but I'd rather not run the risk of goofing up the gaskets/orings if I don't have to. TY! |

This is from the right side (passenger side). Posting all that I have uploaded.
![]() ![]() ![]() I don't think this is detailed enough for you. I'll have to see if I have anything else on my hard drive. Maybe the service manual would help you?

The FSM doesn't have really any diagrams of the subassembly. I get the impression that the whole thing gets replaced if there's an issue. So in your estimation, is there room in that external canister to drill a hole, mount a NPT barbed connector to use a low pressure/high volume scavenger pump (or two) to put extra fuel into it? I would think that it would be fine based on what I can see there. TY again! |

Yes, I think there would be enough room for the NPT barbed connector.

Oh! and how is your TRE pump??? Did their kit really come with everything you needed to make it work??? The price is amazing and I was thinking of doing the upgrade even for my N/A Z since I am planning on going with a return system so as to have better fuel pressure control for tuning (maybe some alternate fuel experimentation).

I'm planning on running a FRS in the future, maybe this winter. I haven't decided what one yet, AAM or ?

As far as the scavenge pump... if I can make it work, I will post photos and a parts list for sure. You'd be shocked how cheaply it can be done, if the design I have in mind works. |

Phunk's CJM product is exceptional and occasionally backed by late Friday night customer support. The engineering and build quality are worth the cost.

there is definitely some space for a home-brew type solution... especially since I think I went further with the product than it needed to go in order to make sure it was still useful in the future with super high power builds. the way that i did it, is just one of many ways it could be done.
since its out of stock right now with no ETA on the next batch yet, I am have been going over possible ways to make it more simple or cost effective to manufacture. alternately, if shovelman has an idea he wants to try, i would gladly lend any advice i could. or i could also lend light manufacturing for simple components that could make it easier to accomplish his goal. |
