Speaker Spacers

We do believe our current Nissan/Infiniti speaker spacers will work in the 370Z.

If there's anyone about to change their door speakers out please let me know and I'll send you a pair of spacers for free. I'm 99.9999% sure they'll work great I just want confirmation and a few pictures......thanks mike

bigaudiofanat 08-23-2009 07:41 PM

I am going to confirm that they do work. I am also going to add that you can put just about any speaker in the space if you shave the one side closest to the door, just as I did in the pictures. The screws you sent did not work how I was using them, but I drilled out the plastic and the depth of were the screws go and worked fine. "Sorry if you do not want pics up I am just trying to help. Very well made products.

how does it affect the sound

bigaudiofanat 08-24-2009 10:07 AM

Dose not rely sound different but than again anything other than factory sounds better. Nice solid mids from the speakers. I think they sounded just fine.

zylont 08-24-2009 11:39 AM

what does it look like after you put the door back together?

bigaudiofanat 08-24-2009 01:00 PM

Looks factory lol everything clears and no problems. But remember every speaker is different so always check.

The spacer I got from ZEnclosures was pre-trimmed and it fit perfectly out of the box.

question about the spacers. i noticed there were different inner diamters for them. i'm not sure what speakers ill be going with. would it be ok to go ahead and get the biggest i/d? would it affect anything if the id of the speaker is smaller?

jikhead 01-08-2010 06:41 PM

Would you happen to know if there are fitment issues with 6.75" speakers? According to the only specs of the speaker I'm looking at, the inner cutout should be fine. It's the outer cutout that I'm curious about. The one pic above is a 6.5, and it appears there's still enough space left on the ring to screw down a 6.75". Anyone?

You'll be fine using 6.75" speakers. We have customers use them all the time without any issues. Thanks Mike

Hi Mike,

I was about to place an order for the speaker spacers but I noticed that the website allows you to select 4 different center hole diameters for the spacers.

I am planning to use 6.5" speakers. Which spacers should I get?

Thanks!

All 6.5" speakers use different mounting hole diameters. The mounting hole size will be listed in the manual supplied with your speakers or online.

If you can't find the info you can just let us know what speakers you're using and we'll look up the specs.

Thanks Mike

Hi
These Focals require a 5 5/8" diameter mounting hole.......you'll want to use our spacers with the 5.75" mounting hole. Thanks Mike

Is there anyway to fit aftermarket 6.5" speakers in the 370z without spacers? Any brand of speaker that is capable of fitting exactly where the stock speaker fits while allowing the stock grill to go back on? Been searching for weeks...

There's several Type S speakers..........the 6.75"/6.50" Components would need the spacers with the 5.50" mounting hole and the 6.75"/6.50" 2 ways need the 5.75" mountiing hole. thanks mike
