Where to mount amps on 370z enclosure?

Is there a place you can mount a couple of amps on the sub enclosure? I can't tell by the pictures, but I'd like to have a "stealth" amp install. Is this possible? Can someone share some pics showing where they installed their amps?

There is a lot of room under the seats- I was hoping to get the amp mounted directly below the strut bar, (where that block of foam is) but was the amp was just a bit too big. The seat was a last resort, but I haven't had any overheating issues.

Under the seat if they are small enough. I personal like right behind the seats were those shelves are. plenty of mount room there. Sort of like this.

Eh, I was kind of hoping for a bit of a cleaner and more stealth install. I suppose under the seat would work (if they fit). Would it not work/fit on the back of the ZEnclosure box?

Putting it on the box is not recommended. The box vibrates with each 'hit'... electronics don't fair well with that type of abuse.

Depending on the size, you could put it under the strut bar, where the forward most foam block is. There is enough room there, and should provide enough airspace for ample cooling.

True, I guess it depends on how the box is actually built. My old box was built so that the box actually had a shell around it, and that shell was where the amps were attached. But on the outside, it all looked like a single enclosure.

X2 I agree with this, also being right behind the seat is a clean look. Or if you have the skills make a false floor and mount the flushed into the floor of the trunk. I just love how they can be put right behind the seat.

Also it does not matter what kind of box it is, it is not recommended to mount amps to them.

flashburn 10-13-2009 04:38 PM

It looks like both amps won't fit directly under the strut bar. One is too tall, and the other is both too wide and too tall. What about the area beneath that? I could fit one on each side there, and the wires could probably be routed through the carpet to the hatch area?

BTW, bigaudio, planning to come to the Orlando area in the next few weeks? :)
