Z1 is great!

I just had my Tein springs yeaterday. All I can say is tha the people and the facility is top notch. John and Rob went of out their way to provide me an unforgettable experience. I will definately be doing more business with them and will try to refer many G's and Z's over to them.

On a side note: everyone needs to get the headers that will be released. It made the car effortless in any RPM. I know I will be getting those!

SS_Firehawk 02-03-2013 01:51 PM

They rock. They took a lot of my cash already. And they get more every oil change lol.

Yutnaka 02-04-2013 10:46 AM

Yup.. I am going to start ordering Redline oils from them for my oil change.

Dustin@Z1 02-04-2013 12:31 PM

Sorry I was not here when you came up. I had hoped to be able to meet you, but I had to go out of town. Glad to hear you had a good time stopping by!

Keep us posted on your Z.

Yutnaka 02-04-2013 06:13 PM

Thanks Dustin. John took a pic of my car of before and after drop. He also took a video of our ride in the z1 370z. I had a blast!

Z1 Motorsports

Well, I tried to give Z1 my business. Called and spoke with the staff (not mentioning names) at Z1 about purchasing some BC BR coilovers and having them install the setup. I was told I would be called back the same day, and well........I never received a call :shakes head: Soooooo, I purchased my coilovers elsewhere and installed them myself. They are AWESOME BTW!!!!!!! :happydance: Thanks for recommending them Z1. I just wish I could have gave you guys my business. Your reputation speaks for itself. You may have my Z in the future for an oil cooler install IF I get a call back once I give you guys a call. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!

Not to derail your statement, but the internet has been around for a long time. If they gave you sound advice and you still wanted to give them your business, their website is available 99.999% of the time.

jbrueshaber 02-28-2013 09:35 PM

Clarification that obviously is needed

Okay, since you derailed my previous post please let me clarify. When someone from a reputable business like Z1 says, "Hey, let me see what I can do for you since you will be having these installed here too, and I will get back to you for a packaged deal." And I never hear anything.....that really sucks. I am not saying Z1 is perfect because we are humans and we all make mistakes. Okay, for further explaination, I am in the medical field where I presently work in Oncology. So, let me tell one of my patients that, "I will get your Nexavar, Xeloda, Tarceva, Afinitor, Gleevac, Jakafi, etc. ect. refilled" or "I will get your prior authorization approved for your chemo pills, pain medications, nausea medications, etc. ect." but never call back or follow up.......Well, this is what we call "negligence" in the medical field with negligence standing for the "failure to take proper care in doing something." So, I forget about these medications, and the patient's disease progresses, or now the patient is in terrible pain and admitted to the ED, or the patient is now vomiting with malnutrition and dehydration setting in........ That's MY fault! I failed to follow up. Now, I have just worsened my patient's prognosis because even though the patient could have called me back, or the pharmacy could have notified me for a refill, or the manufacturers of these special drugs could have informed me that "Patient A" is due for a refill. It's MY fault! Please Firehawk, by all means, do NOT get me started. The above examples are just hypothetical, but it COULD easily happen without proper follow up which is what happened in this situation. I am just really disappointed. This is not a life or death situation, but I just thought I would provide you some insight on my perspective. In order to provide someone with optimal service follow up is definitely needed. Thanks for your comment though !!!!!!!!!

I'm not standing up for Z1, I think a call or an email, should have been done. I have to email GTM a lot just to get small bits of information on my car. Hell, I waited 8 weeks for a reply once! But I had to initiate it. This shouldn't be the way it is, but sometimes, especially nationally known parts distributors and garage, it is easy to fail in a followup. Medical field is definitely a different ball game and understand the hypothetical comparison, fortunately for them, they don't get prosecuted for failing to follow up. :) But thank you for the clarification. and For the record, GTM was very close to losing my business before they replied with an offer. :tiphat:

Cool man, you are right. I should have followed up myself too. I want you to know I really am not trying to be a d***. The guys at Z1 are super nice and informative. I definitely will be giving them a call in the next month or two for a thermostatic, 25 row oil cooler install. Got to help keep those oil temps down for this Ga heat!!!!!! Thanks for understanding!

Jbrushaber,
I apologize for the issue with us returning your call. I am glad that we were able to recommend a product that you are satisfied with. By all means, PM me or Jon if you have any questions or are looking for any help.

Our phone lines stay busy, so our sales staff rarely get a break. If someone failed to call you back, it was by no means intentional and was most likely a simple accident.

Hopefully you will give us the opportunity to make things right in the future! :tiphat:

Glad the OP had such a good experience. Z1 has always been good to me. Since I purchased parts for my 370Z back in 2009 to today, they've always bent over backwards to make sure I was a satisfied customer. If you get a chance to meet them at the Z1 Motorsports shop or at a sponsored event like ZDayZ or Z Nationals you will understand why their reputation is top notch.

:iagree:
Z1 has been very helpful and responsive to me. Their advice has always been on par. I have the 34 row Oil Cooler (invaluable on the track!), the Stillen front brake cooling kit (invaluable on the Dragon!), stainless steel lines all around, AMS shortshifter, and a few other minor parts that I have purchased from Z1.

I have had the majority of the parts installed at my (very understanding) dealer here in Virginia. When they had issues installing the stainless brake lines, one of the Z1 specialists offerred to contact the installer and walk him through the install. Once they talked, the install went on without a hitch. The technician at the dealer told me the next day that he had a "DOH" moment with the part at first (putting it on in reverse), that was quickly corrected over the phone.

I will continue to use and recommend Z1 as a source for parts and advice.
