Default Paging John or Dustin or.... Nismo lower rear brace...

Hi guys,

Have a question for ya, with the Nismo brace kit - the 3 braces involved. The 15' and 16' Nismo's come from the factory with the front brace and the upper rear brace in the luggage area installed, along with the foam piece to cover it and can be retrofitted to the earlier 370's.

They also changed the "V" bar braces from round to square in the rear, which could possibly be the reason Nissan didn't pursue making that brace. I was able to get the front and upper rear from a wrecked 15' Nismo.

Is there anyway to just get the rear lower brace? I figured I would ask before I have one fabricated, I contacted Nismo and didn't get any response.

Any help would be greatly appreciated or direction where I might be able to pick one up.
Keith

Hey Buddy,
Seem we are in the same situation. found some pieces from a 2016 nismo on e-bay,
installed the rear upper brace, the NISMO strut tower brace, haven't gotten to the front cause I have to take the bumper cover off and work around the oil cooler.
At one time Z-1 had a used rear lower brace for sale and I should have jumped on it at the time.
So the thought of fabing a lower piece also came to mind too.
By the way I have a few more old farts on you, LOL 62,
But I love the Z, reminds me of when I use to drive Formula Fords
Maybe they have 2 of these for us

I keep looking, guy back in March had one for sale on Craigslist, I only recently seen the ad though and tried to contact him but didn't get a response. The pieces you got - didn't come from Florida did they?

If so, you grabbed the one set and I got the other.. LOL

Just missed buying the springs and shocks.
Can't imagine who would tear up a brand new car like that.

I've been talking to Chris down there, apparently both cars they bought at auction, stripped them down and parting out. I've bought a couple items off the car from him. He has a set of door panels that I was thinking about getting but decided not to go that route.

If I remember right, got the rear brace, front brace, hatch carpet, and an engine cover. Just remembered - bought both front/rear lateral dampners too, bonus was the rear came with the brace that has the brackets welded on to it. He has a Nismo gauge cluster but a little high for me on the price.

I'm not trying to recreate a Nismo, just looking to use the factory parts that will make a difference. The car is nice a nice platform to begin with, but there is always room for improvement. Chassis stiffing always helps. Less flex in the chassis allows more work out of the suspension. Still can't see the point of the front/rear lateral dampeners or
their PR BS
