Default OEM - RAYS 19 | 20MM Spacer & Lugnuts

So I've been reading a lot of threads regarding this and so far it's not looking too good. I was hoping someone can chime in with some feedback.

Apparently the GTR & 370z use the mag shank style of lug nuts. There aren't any options to buy they in a gloss black.

I have a '09 with Rays, and wanted to do 2 things.

1) 20MM spacers all around (Open to recommendations)
2) Black lug nuts

20mm spacers all around is perfect that is what I run. Don't know about lug nuts, you could just spray paint them or plasti dip to see if you like the look.

Thanks.

Regarding the spacers, do I need anything besides the spacers for fitment? Do the bolts reach?

Will these lugnuts work?

I bought these, no need to change studs or do anything just bolt on and go.

Do not buy bolt ons. Do it correctly and replace the studs.

Paint or powder coat the lug nuts.

There's really no harm in bolt-ons, that's what most people do. The studs used in most aftermarket spacers are of the same quality if not better than the OEM wheel studs. As long as everything is tight, you are fine.

This is the result of using bolt ons with OEM wheels (courtesy of Joe at Zspeed). That is definitely harm.

Is that with 20mm spacers?
There's a way around that with using Bolton spacers, but I know a lot of people don't like to mess with the way things are from the factory. You can cut off the first 3,4 or 5 mm of the lug with a grinder. You'll still have ample amount of shank on the lug for your lug nut to go back on should you want to go back to having no spacer. Nobody sees the ends of the lugs anyway.

That's the result of not getting a big enough spacer, not the fact that its a bolt-on. Theres nothing wrong with using bolt-ons if done properly, which obviosuly wasn't in that photo. I have bolt-ons with zero issues not unlike hundreds of other people. But if you really wanna pound your wheel studs out and replace them be my guest, should be fun when you want to put stock wheels back on.

This occurs with 20mm and under. Being that 20mm is one of the most popular sizes on the Z, it's relevant information for those who may read this thread.

The studs are not difficult to change. Using that as an argument to not do things correctly is ridiculous.

Spacers in general are not the correct way of doing things, but that's a whole different discussion.

There's a reason most wheel/tire shops will not touch a vehicle with spacers on it.

Lol. I didn't know bolt on spacers are the incorrect way of doing it. Guess I been putting my life at risk these past 5 years of using them.
Either way works fine

Wheels with the proper offset are the correct way of doing it.
