Good stuff JC! I don't plan on racing it or anything, just something nice and sporty me and the wife can take out on date night.

Exactly, you don't wanna look like every Z you see on the road and make sure you post some pics when you get those baby's mounted.

CV3s are good looking wheels. Just take them for free  tell him it's down payment for when they need a cool baby sitter lol

I wish that was the case! They are transferring to Europe in 4 months.

Not into that silly looking stance ****. Just wanted an opinion on a set of wheels. Do you guys always argue over threads people make? I thought we were a Z nation...

Was I arguing? Just voicing my opinion, lol

Zbrah 12-26-2014 11:04 AM

If me, I would offer for his oem GTR wheels instead, they fit nicely on the Z and you're getting a set of quality wheels. Someone correct me, but aren't the GT-R wheels forged? I just remember them being very light for 20''.

Tadpole 12-26-2014 11:24 AM

There are some upatee attitudes here on pretty much about anything on this forum so I say run with 4 steelie donuts if thats what you like chief. Go with the blows here on opinions and dont take anything the wrong way. I do understand that we want the best of the best but sometimes our pocketbooks have us look at what's the best bang for your buck. Kudos on those wheels!

Waiz 12-26-2014 11:28 AM

i would sell them

The 20" versions of these wheels are way too heavy and you will notice a performance decrease.

Too many options that are way better quality, lighter, and even cheaper.

cooltoy 12-26-2014 01:05 PM

I did not notice any difference. I still get to work and back at the same time. Maybe because I chose a lighter then stock tire.

But the world does not revolve around me.

Driftomodachi 12-26-2014 01:13 PM

Denial

cooltoy 12-26-2014 01:15 PM

I noticed on a significant heavier cast wheels than my current forged ones

That being said I am a self-professed JDM wheel whore and my opinion will always reflect that. You will never catch me running anything else on my cars :nutswinger:

JC-Nismo 12-26-2014 07:08 PM

Are you track racing?
Circuit Racing?
Gumball Racing?
Racing The Stig?
Then what does wheel weight matter?

The OP wants his car to LOOK GOOD, better and different than stock, can't be any clearer than that.

Driftomodachi 12-26-2014 07:20 PM

More unsprung weight = worse gas mileage

JC-Nismo 12-26-2014 07:25 PM

Okaaaaaaaay, buy a Leaf.

Driftomodachi 12-26-2014 07:34 PM

Would you rather:

Go faster and get better gas mileage

Go slower and get worse gas mileage

JC-Nismo 12-26-2014 07:36 PM

I drive a SRT8 and a Nismo, It should be obvious that I'm not concerned too much with gas prices when I drive these things, but for the record, I do drive a SmartCar as my DD.

cooltoy 12-26-2014 07:43 PM

I work in the oil business. Got to use up gasoline for job security.

JC-Nismo 12-26-2014 07:47 PM

^^^lmao

Driftomodachi 12-26-2014 07:49 PM

Okay I retract the word "wrong" and restate with "not as good." But you are still spending money on something that's not as good. Hope that makes you feel better. I didn't mean to ruffle any feathers.

I'm a jdm wheel whore as well. But only because Rays, BBS Japan and TWS make the best Japanese forged wheels.

cooltoy 12-26-2014 08:04 PM

I wish I was still in a stage of my life where I could be a JDM wheel whore. But that time has passed and I'd rather care about mortgage free houses, saving for kids college education and condos on a beach in Mexico.

Does not mean I can't afford a toy. A cool toy.

:icon18:

OPEC wants to take your Z away from you!

cooltoy 12-26-2014 08:06 PM

If they new how much gas it takes, they'd buy me another one.

Driftomodachi 12-26-2014 08:12 PM

Awesome. I'm actually selling my house. I need something smaller. I'm single so all I have to worry about is planning for retirement but I think I got that covered =)
