19x11 Wheels possible?
Seems like the sweet spot for 305/30ZR tires is 11". Since I was thinking about going with 265 in the front, the proper rim size for that is 9.5 which is what I am going for. I could go 10.5 on the rear and just stretch the 305 a bit, but 11" is more proper, and the tires will look more uniform front and back, instead of the front looking regular, and rear looking a little stretched.
Has anyone tried 11" rears? |

No reason why you wouldn't be able to run a 19x11 wheel in the back given proper offsets. That's only 0.5" wider than what comes on the NISMO from the factory, so you know there is some room for leeway there.
I think even 11.5" or 12" wide wheels should properly fit under the car. The only problem is that with the relatively young nature of the car, not too many size/offset combinations have been tried out with varying levels of ride-height. |

I'll be running the same forgestars in 18x10 with 285s and 18x11 with 315s... using Hoosier R6's which tend to run a little big, so it will be like running 325 street tires in rear... can check my journal this weekend for update on how they fit

You can do up to 11.5" in the rears and probably even a 10" up front. I have personally put a 9.5" front on my car already but haven't seen anyone go with a 10" front yet. On the rear, in 19" there is a suspension arm that gets in the way at 11.5" wide, but if you go with 20s you can fit a 12" as the bigger diameter offers more clearance on that suspension arm.

I am just laughing at how large we can go theoretically on the 370Z. That's crazy wide.
Hey Mike, I meant these wheels: DDM Project 370Z Do you mind telling me the offset you went with the 9.5 front, and the 11" rears? Thanks man! Rep for you guys |

Travis, do 18's clear your AP BBK???
I was thinking I had to go 19" to clear BBK's. If I would be able to go 18"... that's my style. Your set up is what I have always wanted. I would go 18x9.5 with 265 Toyo R888's, and 18x11 with 305's. Last edited by carfr3ak; 10-06-2009 at 11:17 PM. |

The 11" rims you pictured are a 19" +33 offset, but sink in a little. If I could re-do them I would go with a +28. I run a 305/30/19 on those with plenty of room.

we have theoretically confirmed that they clear the ap racing bbk. was confirmed based upon cad drawings that there is plenty of margin. will find out for sure this weekend. suggest you standby a couple days and let me play guinea pig... I would have used r888s but am competing for hoosier contingency with nasa now... you might also want to think about getting 10s for front if I can confirm they fit

That would be some crazy tramlining on the streets with your set up Same with my previous said set up, but still. haha
In your opinion, is the R888's better than R6's? Hope you get the contingency from Hoosier. Who would turn down free tires? |
