Potenza Pole Position or Nitto Invo?

Looking for a budget summer performance tire to replace my balding RE11s. I'm leaning toward the Bridgestones (yes, I've read some reviews before posting this) but the Nittos look intriguing. I had some NT555s on my Mustang and liked them a lot. Because I have another vehicle, grip is more important to me than tread life. Thoughts?

Go with the Bridgestones, they have a better grip.

I have the Nitto Motivo tires (more tread life than the Invos) and I'm not a fan.

My two cents...

Good to know. Car and Driver seems to think so too.

Thanks for the reply. Care to elaborate? What specifically don't you like?

The Nitto Motivo just don't track well. The tires provide that sensation that the car is getting "pushed around" and when I change lanes the tires create a sensation of having a rebound affect.

It could be due to the heavier tread, but I regret getting talked out of the Continental DWS tires.

Never again.

UPDATE: Pulled the trigger on a set of S-04s. Thanks for the replies guys!

I may not get to use them for a while since I've almost got my new (to me) beater on the road and the Z will be going away for the winter. I'll likely refinish my rims when I make the swap too; changing rubber is a good excuse to fix curb rash and play with wheel color.;)

I had some S04s in near 370 sizes (255/275) for my 5.0 Mustang and enjoyed them. Wish I had kept the tires too...
