Average miles to expect from OEM tires..

Have a little over 21000 miles and they will be replaced next spring. Probably could get a few thousand more if I baby them, but not worth chancing it.

I do about 75% highway driving which gave me a lot longer life I think, but I ended up getting about 32k out of the stock tires. Rears were shot, probably could have gotten more out of the fronts but I wanted to get a full new set of PSS's

I got about 28k from the stock oem tires on my 2013 370z sport. A lot highway not tracked. Aggressive on the streets. Nothing ridiculous like burn outs or anything.

I have been looking for a post exactly like this. Got my oil changed the other day and Tech recomended new tires. took me aback as the tires on the Z have a little over 6k miles. No burnouts / no track / no autoX. car is my daily driver. The dealership i bought it from had new tires on it, bridgestone potenza - the s0603 nissan oem. have been told by several master techs/ nissan techs that its common on a 370z for new rears every 6-8k, but i see you guys getting 20k! any thoughts on this anyone? kind of at a loss. Will be replacing shortly but any kind of feedback would be much appreciated

You could just be driving on the world's worst roads, that we don't know. What you can do is get a tread measuring tool for cheap (often 99 cents in auto parts stores) and measure yourself across the tire. If the inside is very worn then likely you have some camber wear (and the rear camber on these cars is IMO way too high stock). However, if you're measuring around 3 or up all around you're likely okay. I replace all my tires when tread gets to around 3 for summers, 4 for all seasons, and 5 for my winters, but that's a flavor of my own and some people will keep going.

EDIT: I saw you're in Columbia. Hey Neighbor! Yeah, I wouldn't be running the stock summer tires during winter in Columbia. One rainy day below 40 degrees and you might end up in a ditch. Let alone any snow, sleet (had to pick up people last year stranded in Columbia because of that one bad sleety day), or ice. I'd get a second set of winter tires...

The roads were something i never considered, columbia is known for about as shitty a road as you can find in a college town. im at 3/32nds atm, will be ordering this week idk what as of yet. Howdy man! you ever make it round this ways? im in KC usually once a month, Aunt lives there. I have an old ford I DD when the weather gets crummy, but i have been caught in the rain several times. slipping in 2nd at 2k

Yeah, rough roads (often from oversalting during winter) can wear tires much faster, and so can the weather you drive in. There are a lot of good tires out there for these cars, just make your decision based on your needs and not what people tell you is the best tire. Not everyone needs a street legal race tire for a DD, lol.

Yeah, I come out that way every now and then (often passing through to get to St. Louis or Herman). I moved to KC August 2013 and I've been loving this city ever since! Best city I have ever been to or lived in, and that includes NY, Chicago, and ATL. I've got a Forester XT as a DD. It's a nice little thing with the right tires

I love KC man - i used to spend alot of time goofing off there. They definitely over salt - i have been spraying the car down too much lately. I just cant seem to not drive her though. Forester XT's are sick man, i actually sell subaru's. Hard to beat a subaru AWD system + reliability. Yeah i mean i do alot of spirited driving, but more cornering and high end, not so much low speed dugs or burnouts.

20K rears were shot. Wife's car. Her old car was a Toyo Corolla. She doesn't drive like a granny but she doesn't race either. Fronts probably had a few more miles but I said change them all. I didn't want to run different tires. We replace with S-04's. Great tires.

I see people getting higher miles but they probably didn't have sports package. You can't rotate the tires on sports package. So 20k was the best we could squeeze out of rears. Fronts could have went another 5K.

You can't rotate base wheels either

I got around 27K out of the rears and I am still on the factory fronts with 33K miles. Mostly interstate driving. 104 miles a day.
