Default Thoughts appreciated on winter tire setup (I know)

Hey guys! Bought my '09 Z sport black manual on Aug 7 09, and she was garaged in the rain and definitely not driven in the snow for the first two years. Then I eventually brought her out in the rain, but kept her back in the garage at night. Now she's out all season long in the rain! This year, I'll be driving her in the winter so this is a big deal for me.

Wanted your feedback on my proposed winter tire setup.

No TPMS
18x9 5/114.3 Fast Wheels Nemesis black
4x 225/50/18 Bridgestone Blizzak WS-80 (square setup)

I chose no TPMS because I can live with the warning light over the $320 purchase cost + $X dealer reprogram fee when I put my summers back on. Choosing the narrowest tire I could find that would fit over my sport brakes and going with an 18x9 to help the car look less "sunken" (I don't want to put spacers on). Finally, I chose the WS-80 because I'm looking for the best snow/ice performance over dry performance that I think I'll get with the LM-32 (based on my research and this post on the NASIOC forums... wifey has subey).

What do you guys think? Any changes?

I just bought a 2014 with sport package and will be driving in the winter as well, but I won't be daily driving it (I take the train to work every day) so I can choose when I want to take her out.

No TPMS
I personally went with these rims in 18x8
DAI Alloys Razor

And for tires I went with Michelin X-ice Xi3. Reason being they are supposedly excellent on ice (we get alot in Montreal) and dry roads, but not very good in 5+ inches of snow. Don't really care since the car probably won't clear 5 inch of snow anyway and i'd just be plowing the roads, so I'll just wait for the real snow plows to do the work.
