295-35-19 Tire Size

Thinking of running a 295-35-19 on my 2010 Nismo... Expensive.....

:tiphat:

kenchan 09-02-2014 01:19 PM

i would go with 285/35/19 RE11's instead for the rear...and 245/40/19's for the front.

kenchan 09-02-2014 01:20 PM

unless you have tt and need extra grippage...

JARblue 09-02-2014 01:22 PM

Is there a question here? I have one: why did you start a new thread? :stirthepot: :p

Expensive depends on the tire, I suppose. I've run 275, 285, and 305 in the rear. The only reason not 295 is it seems to have a more limited selection. But I also go down on the profile (from 35 to 30) when I increase the width to keep it closer to stock height.

yah, i went from advan sports to RE11's couple of weeks ago on my nismo set as well. it's good stuff.
RE11's are night day improvement over the Advans.

:hello:

wait........above RE-11s? they are a pretty awesome set of rubber.

running 265/35/19 and 305/30/19 on OEM sport rays and they are super grippy. last week was the first time i have got slippage when launching at a red light with now around 8-9k miles on them. so far they have been better than my last set of PSS's which i thought were great. but these are better thus far. possible maybe even longer lasting which would blow my mind and the ratings.

305+ or bust! Get a real man's tire. I love seeing the tires that they are putting on the new Hyundai Accents, they are like half the size of my rears. Must have the a contact patch the size of a fountain pen.

:iagree:

also dont listen to anyone who says they dont fit or look good on sport rays or Nismo wheels because they look great.

also nismo wheels are widers soooo i mean if you want i think you can try 315s out back :stirthepot:

just my :twocents:

im DD at stock height with the 265/305 combo. not sure if you're low enough or running spacers to where it may be an issue either.

aszyd 09-02-2014 02:05 PM

I'm dropped on coils and have no issues fitting 265 / 305 with -22 offset all around. The rears could even use spacers to flush them up.

id double check the weights clifford. you might be weighing down your sports car for no reason.

I bought my tires 6 months before go TT, 305 rear and 265 in the front. I didn't notice much difference from stock, I was lowered Tiens at the time. I would get spacers, 15mm all around, you can go 20s in the front with no problem. The only thing with going with a wider lower profile tire is that you will need camber arms and toe bolts in the rear. Once I went to coil overs I had to add front upper arms to get the alignment back into oem specs. If you keep it stock height you may be okay but if you drop on Swifts or coil overs it's crap shoot unless you are okay with running a lot camber and replacing tires frequently.
